What does Obagi-C® Clarifying Serum do?

Obagi-C® Clarifying Serum contains 4% hydroquinone to reduce hyperpigmentation, such as dark spots and melasma, for a lighter and more even skin tone. It also contains 10% L-ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) which defends against free radicals and addresses the appearance of ageing skin. Please note this is a prescription-only medication and you would need to have a consultation with one of our nurse prescribers in the clinic.

Vitamin C is an antioxidant which eliminates free radicals that age the skin. Studies have shown topical Vitamin C, in the most effective form (L-ascorbic acid), can help improve sun protection, repair sun damaged skin, reduce fine lines, stimulate collagen building and potentially reduce discoloration of the skin.

OBAGI-C® Rx SYSTEM

This prescription-strength system is clinically proven to help correct hyperpigmentation, address visible signs of ageing and uneven skin tone which in turn will help support a younger and healthier-looking skin.

How to apply
Your clinician will provide a bespoke skin care regime for you to use at home.

An example of a possible routine includes:

Morning Routine:
- Massage a small amount of the C-Cleansing gel onto the skin.
- Rinse completely and pat dry.
- Dispense 3-4 pumps of the C-Balancing Toner (normal/oily only) onto a cotton pad and gently wipe over the entire face, avoiding the eye area.
- Apply 5-7 drops of the C-Clarifying Serum to the entire face.
- Apply 1-2 pea-size drops of the C-Exfoliating Day Lotion (normal/dry only) and massage gently until completely absorbed.
- Follow with C-Sun Shield Matte Broad Spectrum SPF50.
Evening Routine:
- Apply approx 1-2 pea-size drops of the C-Therapy Night cream (normal/dry only) after cleansing, and massage gently.
- Dispense 3-4 pumps of the C-Balancing Toner (normal/oily only) onto a cotton pad and gently wipe over the entire face, avoiding the eye area.
- Apply 1-2 pea sized drops of the C- Therapy Night Cream.

The Obagi-C Rx® system helps reduce (and potentially eliminate) hyperpigmentation, reducing free radicals and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles whilst also brightening skin tone.
