This treatment can be used to enhance the individuals facial features providing a subtle and natural result. It can also be used to create balance between the upper and lower lip and to correct asymmetry.

HOW DO LIP FILLERS WORK?

In order to achieve the most natural lip fillers it is important that every patient is assessed individually. Each person has different requirements, some patients may have thin lips, others may have dehydrated lips, some may wish to correct an asymmetry or improve the appearance of a scar in the area, others just want to give the volume in their lips a little boost. It is essential the correct dermal filler brand is used and that filler needs to have the same consistency as the lip mucosa in order create a smooth result and to appear natural when the lips are both still and moving. There are several ways that lips can be injected, it is not a one-size fits all approach. Hyaluronic acid dermal filler is injected into the lip border to improve definition of the border itself including the cupids bow and philtrum if required. Filler can also be injected into the body of the lip to create a fuller appearance.   • How much do lip fillers cost?

    We will be able to provide an indication of the amount of filler you may need including the cost during your consultation when we are discussing your treatment plan. The amount of filler required to achieve a patients end-goal varies from person to person and factors that can influence this amount includes age of the patient, amount of volume loss and lifestyle choices. 

  • What are the risks of lip fillers?

    As with all treatments, there are risks associated with lip fillers and these will be discussed in full with you during your consultation. It is essential that your lip filler treatment is carried out in a clinical environment by an experienced and suitably qualified clinician who can deal with any problems immediately and independently should they arise. 

  • Do lip fillers ruin your natural lips?

    No, providing the most suitable dermal filler is used in small amounts without over-stretching the lips and  the lips are not over-treated or repeatedly injected in a short time-frame. It is essential you listen to the advice of your responsible clinician. 

  • How much lip filler will I need?

    One of the most common questions we get asked is, "how much lip filler will I need?". This amount varies depending on the presentation of the patient and the end-goal, however our mantra is "less is more".
