Profhilo® is best-described as a ‘bio rejuvenator’, or ‘tissue stimulator’ as it works within the tissue and stimulates your own bodies collagen and elastin. It aims to draw and hold water from your body, refreshing and revitalising your skin. You will begin to see results within 3-5 days, while over the next few weeks collagen and elastin production is stimulated which results in a secondary skin tightening effect. 

HOW DOES

PROFHILO® WORK?

Made with the patented NAHYCO® technology, Profhilo® uses ultra-pure hyaluronic acid, which is injected precisely into the area being treated. Unlike wrinkle reducing and dermal filler treatments, Profhilo® stimulates collagen and elastin, attracting water in the deeper layers of the skin.


As a stabilised product, the activity on dermal cells will last longer than that of a non-stabilised gel. During this time the stimulation of four different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of hyaluronic acid.


The stimulation results in major tissue improvement and has a significant tightening and lifting effect on the tissue.

FAQs

  • How often should I get Profhilo® treatments?

    Patients initially need two treatments and in some cases three, spaced 4 weeks apart. After this initial treatment course, a maintenance treatment will be necessary twice per year to maintain results. Profhilo® does not sit in the tissue long term, it is metabolised by the body completely. The effects last around 6 months.  

  • What are the benefits of Profhilo®?

    Enhancing your skins radiance and improving skin tone, texture and overall hydration.

  • What does the Profhilo® treatment involve?

    Injected just below the skins surface, Profhilo® requires just 10 injection points as it is absorbed within a 2cm radius of the injection site.

  • What should you not do after Profhilo®?

    Profhilo® requires minimal downtime. Immediately after your treatment you should be able to continue with "light" daily activities but should avoid the following for the first few days after your treatment:

    • physical strain or sport
    • sauna or bath
    • intense sun or UV exposure

  • What are the risks associated with Profhilo®?

    Rare and minor side-effects that may occur are slight bruising or swelling at the injection sites - should these occur they generally subside quickly.


    We do not recommend Profhilo® for women who are pregnant, breast-feeding or people who are allergic to Hyaluronic Acid.


    When Profhilo® is administered by someone who is appropriately qualified, trained and experienced the risks of something going wrong are very, very low. However, in inexperienced hands, Profhilo® injections can be dangerous.

    The treatment is suitable for men and women as well as offering skin benefits for patients of all ages.

  • Where can Profhilo® be injected?

    Areas that can be treated include the face, neck, décolletage, hands, arms, knees and abdomen area.
