WHAT IS A TCA PEEL GOOD FOR?

EnerPeel® TriChloroacetic Acid (TCA) is ideal for older skin with moderate-severe damage and signs of ageing or patients with scarring concerns. The EnerPeel® TCA will improve colour, freshness, texture, skin tone, scarring, ice pick scars and fine wrinkles and will also help to remove superficial discolouration, such as age spots.

HOW DOES TTRICHLOROACTIC ACID (TCA) WORK?

EnerPeel® TCA penetrates deeper than other peels such as mandelic acid or salicylic acid and is a highly effective skin remodelling solution. It is available in two different strengths at our clinic. 25%, for medium-depth remodelling, and 40% for profound, deep remodelling. The solution is absorbed deep into the skin before being released to increase the dermal effect on promoting maximum fibre development, whilst also stimulating old fibre matrix breakdown, resulting in visibly smoother and flatter skin. This is an in-clinic peel only and has to be carried out by our Nurse Independent Prescribers who are fully trained on all our peel portfolio. 


As with all of our skin treatments, patients are required to have a skin consultation including skin analysis prior to any skin treatment recommendation.

    If you are suitable for a TCA peel the strength of the solution will depend on your presentation at your skin consultation and analysis. The most appropriate strength will be recommended in order to achieve the best results for you.

  • How do I prepare my skin for a TCA peel?

    You will be advised during your skin consultation and analysis on which skincare you will need to purchase in order to prepare your skin for the peel. This skincare will also be used post-treatmentl to enhance the results of your peel. 

  • What is the best anti-ageing peel?

    TCA peels are ideal for anti-ageing, however The Aesthetics Hub® do have other peels available in the range that can help to target different ageing concerns  including Jessner, Pyruvic and Eyes and Lips peel. During your skin consultation and skin analysis we will recommend the most appropriate treatment options for you.
