Cheeks are a defining feature of the face. In order to add volume to the facial structure, special volumising dermal fillers are injected using an advanced technique, improving the skins texture and creating a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.
Loss of volume in the cheeks can have a huge impact on the rest of the face. The under-eye area can start to appear sunken, nasolabial folds appear, cheeks become flatter, jowels appear and the jawline becomes less defined. Cheek enhancement using hyaluronic acid dermal fillers will lift the cheek, supporting the eyebrow and lower-lid, which in turn softens the tear trough and improves the appearance of the jawline and sunken areas. Not only do we treat the cheek bone area, but also underneath the cheek bone in order to support the sub-malar region. These treatments can also have a slimming effect on the face transforming the triangular shape we see with ageing back into the youthful "v-shape".
This treatment is bespoke to you and therefore your treatment plan should be focused on achieving the best result for your facial features and face shape, not a "one-size fits all" approach. A face-to-face consultation will be carried out by one of experienced aesthetic nurse prescribers and the quantity and cost will be discussed during that appointment.

This patient presented to clinic on the lead up to her 50th birthday with concerns around the flattening of her cheeks and hollowing under her eyes. The before and after shows the result achieved following dermal filler to the cheeks which indirectly has also given support to the under-eye, softening the nasolabial lines, lifting of the jawline, slimming the face and resulted in a more rejuvenated appearance.
Yes, providing the correct filler is used in the right amounts and in the correct place.
These treatments are completely natural and bespoke to you and therefore your treatment plan should be focused on achieving the best result for your face shape and features, not a "one-size fits all" approach.
As with all treatments, there are risks associated with cheek fillers and these will be discussed in full with you during your consultation. It is essential that your cheek filler treatment is carried out in a clinical environment by an experienced and suitably qualified clinician.
The amount of filler required to achieve the desired effect varies from person to person and factors that can influence this amount includes age of the patient, amount of volume loss and lifestyle choices. We will be able to provide an indication of the amount of filler you may need during your consultation when we are discussing your treatment plan.
