HOW DOES SKIN REJUVENATION WORK?

Microneedling is a highly effective facial rejuvenation treatment, extensively improving the appearance of tired, dull and fine-lined skin. The Aesthetics Hub® use the Derma FNS® Microneedling Pen for their microneedling treatments. 


This micro-needling treatment is based on the natural rejuvenating power of the skin. Shortly after any injury, the body dissolves old and damaged skin tissue and this tissue is replaced by new cells. The gentle, controlled needling method used in the Derma FNS™ Micro-Needling skin therapy encourages this organic self-repair mechanism on a microcosmic scale.

FAQs

  • How many microneedling sessions are needed to see results?

    For rejuvenation, it is recommended you have a minimum of 3 treatments at 4-6 weekly intervals. Some patients may require more than 3 sessions to achieve their desired results. 

  • Are microneedling results permanent?

    The results achieved from microneedling can be long-lasting and with regular 4-6 monthly treatments can be maintained. However without protection and microneedling maintenance your skin will be susceptible to damage from external factors such as pollution, the sun, hormones and smoking, resulting in ageing in time. 

  • Can microneedling damage the skin?

    Risks will be covered in depth at your consultation.

    To give a brief overview, any side effects experienced usually subside within 24-48 hours and may include erythema, stinging, itching or skin tightness. It is minimally invasive treatment with minimal downtime and requires only simple aftercare.


  • Is microneedling safe?

    Overall microneedling is considered a safe treatment. Published data and imagery proves and demonstrates that the Derma FNS® sealed needles create no cross-contamination risk, while many other pens cannot say the same.
